Paula Lantz, Chair, City of Pomona, Council Member for District 4
A life-long Pomona resident, Paula Lantz graduated from Pomona High School,
Pomona College and holds a Masters in Education from Claremont Graduate School.
She taught school in Pomona, and as a registered Social Worker, was Foster-Care
Coordinator for Hillview Acres in Chino, CA and ultimately a Foster Parent for many
years.

Robin Carder, City of La Verne, City Council
Robin has been a resident of La Verne for 30 years and has been involved in many aspects of La Verne
including serving two terms as a member of the Bonita Unified School District Board. She is a graduate
of the University of La Verne and also works as a Business Manager for Enrollment Management at
the University. Robin and her husband, Robert, have been married for 35 years and have two married
children, one grandson and a new grandchild due in April 2009. She has been appointed to serve as a
City Council representative to many committees.

Cristina Carrizosa, City of Pomona, Council Member
for District 3
Cristina Carrizosa was
born in Tepic Nayarit, Mexico. She made Pomona her home in 1963. She worked in various
jobs such as picking strawberries, playground supervisor and Instructional Aide
in the Pomona Unified School District. She earned a B.A. and M.A. from California
State Polytechnic University Pomona.

Larry Schroeder, DPA, City of Claremont, City Council
Larry has 10 years (1971-1980) of experience in banking and 26 years (1980-2007) of experience
in city government. From 1988 to 2007 he was Finance Director for the cities of Glendora and Lakewood.
From 1997 to 2007 Larry held the positions of Treasurer, Chairperson of the Finance Committee,
and Member of the Claims and Personnel Committees for the California Joint Powers Insurance Authority (CJPIA).

Chuck Leeb, Ph.D.
Dr. Leeb earned his interfield Ph.D in Education and in Psychology from Claremont
Graduate University in 1973. Except for a six year break, he has called Claremont
home since 1970. From 1976-79, he served as the Associate Southern Regional
Director for Mental Retardation for the State of Nevada and from 1979-82, was the
Director of the Children and Adolescent Program of the Biofeedback and Psychophysiology
program at the world famous Menninger Foundation in Topeka, Kansas.

Edina Martinez, Psy.D
Edina Martinez, Psy.D has lived in Pomona for over 20 years. She graduated from Pomona
Catholic High Shool and received her BA from the University of San Francisco. She holds
a doctorate in Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. Dr.
Martinez has a strong commitment to the quality of mental health services available to
the public.

Bertha Washington, V.P. of LA County Coordinating Council
Bertha Washington, a retired Director of Human Resources and a resident of La Verne, is an
involved member of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). She is also the Vice
President of the Los Angeles County Coordinating Council and chair of the SAAC Exectutive
Commitee.
